イギリス ロンドンで、2014年7月25日-27日に行われた「HYPER JAPAN2014」に去年に引き続きYANAKIKU出演してきました！なんと今年はメインステージへの登場！！
サンフランシスコから日本に戻り、翌々日すぐにロンドンへ飛び立ったYANAKIKUは果たして？！

Two days after their return from San
Francisco, YANAKIKU hopped right back on a plane and headed to London, England to
perform at "HYPER JAPAN 2014"! (held July 25th - 27th)
It was their second consecutive year to perform at the event!

7月25日。ロンドン着。
到着してホテルに荷物を置いてすぐにかわいいロンドンタクシーで会場へ。

After dropping off their luggage at the
hotel, they grabbed an adorable London taxi and headed straight to the venue.
1年ぶりの会場「Earls
Court」！なつかしい！！！
帰って来たよーロンドン！！
It's been a year since we last visited
Earls Court! Ah- the memories!
London, we're ba---ck!
会場の準備が進む中、早速リハーサル開始。
初のメインステージにドキドキしながら各所念入りにチェック。
As the venue prepared itself for the
opening day, YANAKIKU got straight to it! Rehearsal time!
Since it was their first time to perform
on the main stage, they familiarized themselves with every inch of the stage.
リハーサル終了後は、早速腹ごしらえ。
初日の夜はもちろん「フィッシュ＆チップス」！
Rehearsal were done, so it's time to eat!
First night out, they dug into some fish
& chips!
とーーーーっても美味しかった。
満足したYANAKIKUは、時差ぼけもあり明日の本番に向けて早々に就寝。

Now that their tummies were full and
the jet lag started to kick in, it was time to go to sleep.

さて、いよいよ「HYPER
JAPAN2014」初日！
この日はなんと3ステージ！
やる気満々で会場入りしたYANAKIKU。
今年はブースもばっちり確保しました。
The first day of "HYPER JAPAN
2014." This day they had 3 stages lined up!
But the girls were more ready than ever!
Plus, they had their own booth.
ブースに到着するとなんと日本から応援にかけつけてくれたファンの方から
オリジナルハンドタオルをプレゼントしていただいちゃいましたー！！！
そしてさらに「柳菊」オリジナルハッピまで！
これもまたとってもかわいくてみんなでキャーキャー喜びました。
ありがとうございました！！
Once they got to their booth, they were
greeted by loving fans who flew all the way from Japan to cheer them on!
They even had surprise gifts for
YANAKIKU! An original hand towel and 'happy' (traditional Japanese coat) with both their names printed on it!
The gifts were absolutely adorable!

The first thing up was some interviews by

network, they showed off their dance move for
"FUJIYAMA△DISCO"!
その後、YANAKIKUの楽屋では何やら怪しい仮面をつけた二人組がリハーサルの様子。

their dressing rooms in white masks… what are they up to?

Our two 'mystery' girls taught the crowd
a bit about Japanese culture, "Shodo"
(Japanese caligraphy),
and the use of ”Tenugui"
(Japanese hand towels), then announced that YANAKIKU will be performing on the
main stage.
The girls then practiced their dance
moves with the crowd.

After they got off stage and took off their masks, they slipped into their brand new stage costumes. Ta-da!
今回の衣装のコンセプトは新曲「オリヒメ」。
要所要所に短冊をモチーフにしたリボンが付いています。

The costumes were inspired by their new
song "Orihime."
The little ribbons are "tanzaku"
motifs. A "tanzaku"
is a little piece of paper that Japanese
people writhe their wishes on on July 7th. Super cute!
そして、いよいよメインステージスタート。

メインステージ、大トリということもありまして、
イベント終了時間ギリギリまで全力でパフォーマンスしました。

会場中がフジヤマポーズのトライアングルでいっぱいになった時には本当に感激してしまいました。

YANAKIKU was the final act on the main
stage! The girls gave it their all till the very last minute of the event.
So many people responded to their
'lettuce call'!
Words can't express how great it felt to
see everyone do the FUJIYAMA△DISCO pose.

終わったーーと、休む間もなくYANAKIKUはアフターパーティーの会場へ。
But it doesn't end there! Time to go to the after party!
初日のアフターパーティーの会場は「Comedy Pub」。
The after party for day one was held at Comedy Pub(basement).
会場はすでにノリノリのお客さんで熱気ムンムン。
YANAKIKUも登場時間まで紛れてダンスタイム！
The pub was already packed and filled
with energy!
YANAKIKU danced away with crowd till they
had to be on stage.
機材トラブルで何度か音が中断する場面もありましたが、
会場のみなさんが盛り上げてくださって、
最後まで熱いステージが繰り広げられました。

Although the music paused at times due to technical difficulties, the energy never stopped.
With the encouragement and cheers from a energetic crowd, it ended up being a great show!

イベントのスタッフの方がかわいい張り紙を作ってくれていました。

After that the girls decided to stroll
around a bit.
ブースに戻ると、ロンドン発の日本人バンドとして大活躍の「棒人間」の
ベース＆ヴォーカルTaigenさんが遊びに来てくれていました！

色々お話させていただき、YANAKIKUもとても刺激をもらい、
近い将来一緒に何かしよう！と約束をさせていただいたのでした。

When they returned back to their booth, Taigen,
the vocal/bassist from the popular London
situated Japanese rock band "BO NINGEN" was there to greet them!
Everything he
had to say was so inspiring. They even
had talks about working together in the near future.

そして2日目のアフターパーティーは、観光名所ロンドンアイにある、ナムコファンスケープという大きなゲームセンターの中のイベントスペースで行われるということで、リハーサルのためこの日は早めにEarls
Courtを後にしました。
The after party for day two was to be
held inside a huge arcade center called the Namco Funscape,
located right by the famous London Eye. The girls needed to rehearse, so they left
Earls Court a tad early that day.
リハーサルを終えると、本番まで少し時間があったので、YANAKIKU衣装を脱ぎ、つかの間の休息。
After rehearsals, the girls enjoyed some
free time. No costumes!
そして、22:00。YANAKIKUの出番です。
10PM. Welcome to the YANAKIKU show!
最後はもちろんみんなで記念撮影！
HYPER JAPANの会場から駆けつけてくれた方もたくさんいて、とっても盛り上がりました！

How good times fly by. Meeting so many
new faces, the feeling of unity that was felt at the shows,
everything was
just perfect.

早速帰国・・・ではなく、
次の日は朝からキモコスで街へお出かけ。
「ヴィクトリア＆アルバート博物館」へやってきました。
But… we we're
in no hurry to go home.
The following
days the girls headed
out town dressed
in Kimocos.
Stopping by
the Victoria and Albert Museum…
優雅に素敵なカフェでランチをいただき、
Eating lunch at an elegant little cafe…

「ヴィクトリア&アルバート博物館」は、現代美術・各国の古美術・工芸・デザインなど多岐にわたる400万点の膨大なコレクションを中心にした国立博物館ということで、もうなにもかもが美しくてうっとりでした。
博物館の物々しい雰囲気にキモコスがとっても映えて、貴重な体験をさせていただくことができました。

The Victoria and Albert is the world's
largest museum of decorative arts and design!
It's collection houses over 4.5 million objects, and everything was
so beautiful and captivating.
The building's royal like interior and
YANAKIKU's kimocos
contrasted so vividly in my eyes, it almost seemed surreal.

curator of the V&A, for allowing us to
take these pictures!

After the museum, we headed straight
for the subway.

When we visited the "Cool
Britannia" souvenir shop, the girls got a chance to talk with this famous
shop staff.

ピカデリーサーカスにつながるヘイマーケットという通りの交差点にある馬さんたち。
ヘイマーケットとは「干し草市場」という意味らしく、以前馬の飼葉である干草を売っている市場だったから、この馬さんたちがここにいるんですね。
この写真よーく見るとYANAKIKUの右横のかわいいガールズたち、YANAKIKUの衣装を凝視。笑

Just as you guessed,
"Haymarket" used to be a place where they sold hay, hence the horse
statue.
But the best part of this picture is the
young girls sitting right of YANAKIKU.
The expression on
their faces! Priceless.
ヘイマーケット通りを南下しているとロンドンバスにたくさん遭遇しました。
何度見てもテンションあがります。
Going down south Haymarket street, we
spotted a bunch of London buses.
Gets us excited every time!
ロンドンではレンタルサイクルが主流のようで、街のあちこちで駐輪場を見かけました。
市民は年間契約等の入会金を支払った上で、毎回使用料を払って使用するというシステムのようです。
旅行者には便利な1日間、5日間契約もあるみたいで、事前に予約なしで駐輪所に設置されてるタッチパネルで手続きができるみたいですよ。便利ですねー。
In London, it seems like renting a
bicycle is the popular way to get around.
There are docking lots all over town,
with bikes ready to go. A citizen would pay an small admission fee,
and sign up for an annual contract to use the bikes
when they please.
For travelers there's one day and five
days plans. We can sign up on sight on
through a touch panel system in
the
designated areas. How convenient!

バスの前で写真を撮っていたら、休憩中の運転手さんが「中で撮っていいよ！」とまさかの撮影許可！
なんて幸運！！！
When we head down south even further, we
spotted a London bus that was on break!
As we were snapping away in front of the
bus, the driver came back and told us "Go take some shots inside the
bus."
How lucky can we get!
本当はちゃんと乗車して街中を巡りたかったけれど、時間がなかったので、
またぜひ次の機会にと名残惜しい気持ちでバスを後に。

What we really wanted to do is ride the
bus and go sightseeing, but there wasn't enough time this time round.

The girls trotted further down south,
then took a left. On their
way to Charing
Cross station they arrived at Trafalgar Square!

YANAKIKU撮影大会、このまま更に南下してテムズ川へ出て、ビッグベンまで行けたらと思っていたのですが、ここでタイムオーバー。
In the middle of the square stood
Nelson's Column, a statue to commemorate England's hero, Horatio Nelson.
But the statue was so tall, we couldn't
get a good look at Mr. Nelson's face.
We really wanted to go down to the River
Thames and check out Big Ben and take more pictures, but our time was up!
というわけで、ロンドン最後の写真は、トラファルガー広場のライオンの前で。
東京日本橋のデパート三越本店の入口にあるライオン銅像は、このライオンをコピーしたものだそうです！
The last picture the girls took in London
was in front of one of the lions at Trafalgar Square. Did you know that
the bronze lion statue in front of the
original Mitsukoshi shop in Tokyo was inspired by this? Well, it sure is!
この後は、美味しい美味しいタイ料理をいただき（写真割愛）、あっという間に睡魔に襲われ、
最終日にも関わらず早めに解散をして、次の日無事に日本に帰国したのでした。
YANAKIKU2度目のロンドン。
今回も本当に有意義な旅になりました。
次回来る時はもっとたくさんの人に出会える様に、もっとたくさんライブができるように、
そしてさらにパワーアップしてお目にかかれるよう、精進いたします！！

After seeing all that we could in London,
we enjoyed a delicious meal of Thai cuisine.
And you know what a full stomach will do.
Yup, we headed back to our hotels and got some rest. The following day, we got a plane and headed
back home.
YANAKIKU's 2nd trip to London.
This time around was as or even more
fruitful than the first time around.
Next time we come to visit, we want
to make sure to meet more people, perform
more, and come back even better!
